SouthEast Indy-Mental Wellness Patch: Pop Culture, Playlists & Real Life for JCSA
From favorite songs to trending shows and social media moments, pop culture is already shaping how we think, feel, and connect. In this Mental Wellness Patch program, Girl Scouts (Juniors and up) will explore mental wellness through music, media, and everyday experiences they already relate to.
This isn't a lecture-style program. Instead, Girl Scouts will take part in creative, low-pressure activities inspired by playlists, lyrics, aesthetics, and pop culture moments - using them as a way to talk about emotions, stress, friendships, boundaries, and self-care in a way that feels natural and relevant.
Activities may include:
* Creating mood-based playlists (calm, confident, reset, hype)
* Exploring song lyrics as a way to talk about emotions and experiences
* Designing pop-culture-inspired vision boards or aesthetic journals
* Discussing friendships, drama, and boundaries using relatable scenarios from shows or movies
* Learning quick "mental reset" tools that fit into school days, practices, and social life
* Reflecting on how social media and music impact mood, confidence, and self-image
Girl Scouts are never required to share personal details and can participate at their own comfort level. The focus is on connection, creativity, and building simple tools they can actually use - whether it's during a tough school day or when they just need a mental break.
$10- Girl Scouts includes Mental Wellness Patch, celebrating their commitment to caring for their minds, supporting healthy habits, and finding balance in a world full of noise, and a Vision Board to take home.
