We ask that Girl Scouts bring their sacked lunch to this event to enjoy during our lunch break. In addition, all Girl Scouts will receive a commemorative shirt for attending the event. Don’t forget to enter your shirt size during registration!
For families traveling from outside the area, optional overnight accommodations will be provided the night before for a small fee. This ensures Girl Scouts can arrive at the Statehouse bright and early, well-rested and ready to dive into the day’s events.
Girl Scouts will earn badges based on the pathway they choose for the event. They can choose from one of 3 pathways:
- Civics – Girl Scouts will earn the Democracy badge for their age level.
- Citizenship – Girl Scouts will earn the Indiana Civil Rights Commission patch
- Advocacy – Girl Scouts will work on Inside Government (Juniors), Finding Common Ground (Cadettes), Behind the Ballot (Seniors), and Public Policy (Ambassador) badges.
Girl Scouts will complete activities and sessions that help them earn these badges, bringing them one step closer to becoming informed, engaged leaders.
