Program Description
For centuries, black cats have been surrounded by spooky stories-but how much of it is actually true? Join us for a purr-fectly fun Halloween adventure as we uncover the fascinating history of black cats, learn how myths have affected real animals, and discover why these beautiful felines deserve to be celebrated. Through games, crafts, and hands-on activities, Girl Scouts will become Black Cat Ambassadors while earning a fun Halloween-themed patch.
Girls will:
* Learn the history behind black cat superstitions.
* Explore cat behavior and communication.
* Understand how shelters care for cats.
* Discover why black cats are adopted less often.
* Practice kindness and animal advocacy.
* Complete a service activity benefiting local shelters
