Ever wonder why the clouds look like fluffy cotton balls one day and gray blankets the next? Grab your tool belt and join us for Wacky Weather, a hands-on STEM program where Girl Scouts dive deep into the science of the skies!
In this session, we won't just talk about the forecast-we'll build the tools to predict it ourselves. Every great scientist needs the right equipment. You will engineer and take home your very own DIY Weather Station, featuring:
Once your station is built, we'll look up! You'll learn to identify different cloud types-from wispy Cirrus to towering Cumulonimbus-and discover the secrets they hold. By the end of the day, you'll be able to use the clouds to predict whether you'll need sunglasses or an umbrella.
Cloudy with a chance of... earning your newest Wacky Weather fun patch!
