Hey Juniors and Cadettes! Get ready for a spectacular journey through the history of fun, creativity, and innovation as we celebrate Camp Dellwood's 100th Anniversary!
Join us for a hands-on adventure to earn your Create & Innovate badge! We'll explore some of the best toys throughout the years-from 1925 when the camp first opened, all the way up to today! We'll look at simple classics from the 1920s and high-tech gadgets, and we'll even peek at what campers at Camp Dellwood might have played with 100 years ago.
Then just like real toy inventors, you will be challenged to "innovate something"! You'll take an old-school toy and make it even better. You'll use your imagination and a variety of materials to sketch, design, and build a prototype of your brilliant toy innovation, bringing a historical idea into the future! This fun, hands-on workshop is a fantastic way to celebrate creativity, problem-solving, and the enduring spirit of play that has been a part of Camp Dellwood for 100 years!
This event is designed as an in-person event for Juniors and Cadettes. Girl Scouts will complete the requirements for and receive the Create & Innovate badge (badge included).
