Hey Daisies and Brownies! Get ready for a spectacular journey through the history of fun, creativity, and innovation as we celebrate Camp Dellwood's 100th Anniversary!

Join us for a hands-on adventure to earn your Create & Innovate badge! We'll explore some of the best toys throughout the years-from 1925 when the camp first opened, all the way up to today! We'll look at simple classics from the 1920s and high-tech gadgets, and we'll even peek at what campers at Camp Dellwood might have played with 100 years ago.

Then just like real toy inventors, you will be challenged to "innovate something"! You'll take an old-school toy and make it even better. You'll use your imagination and a variety of materials to sketch, design, and build a prototype of your brilliant toy innovation, bringing a historical idea into the future! This fun, hands-on workshop is a fantastic way to celebrate creativity, problem-solving, and the enduring spirit of play that has been a part of Camp Dellwood for 100 years!

This event is designed as an in-person event for Daisies and Brownies. Girl Scouts will complete the requirements for and receive the Create & Innovate badge (badge included).

Notes:

  • Since this is an in-person event there is a strict event capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for maximum girl participation. All attending individuals, both girls and adults must be registered in advance.
  • Each troop is responsible for providing enough adults to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints, girls registering individually should also be accompanied by an adult.
  • This event is for registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in joining a Girl Scout friend to try out the world of Girl Scouting and the opportunities offered through our program. We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs at this event.
