Date: Sat Jun 27, 10:00 AM EST - Sat Jun 27, 12:00 PM EST
What is that sound? It's the sound of Girl Scouts having a blast! In
this program, you'll become a sound scientist to discover the
"science secrets" behind every noise. You'll get to feel how
things shake to make sound and watch how invisible sound waves travel
through the air. Then, you'll get to see how different rhythms can
change your mood, like using a high-energy "zap" when you're
excited or a low, steady "hum" to feel calm. By the time
we're done, you'll have a special toolkit to help you feel your best,
plus an exclusive wellness patch!
Notes:
- Since this is an in-person event there is a strict event
capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult
ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for
maximum girl participation. All attending individuals both
girls and adults must be registered in advance.
- Each troop is responsible for providing enough adults to meet
Activity Safety Checkpoints, girls registering individually should
also be accompanied by an adult.
- This event is for
registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in joining a Girl Scout
friend to try out the world of Girl Scouting and the opportunities
offered through our program. This event is also open to
tagalongs, but they must be registered, regardless of
age.
