This program invites young people to step inside the exciting world of motorsports-whether they are already race fans or just starting to learn about the world of racing. Girls will go behind the scenes of the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing shop as the team prepares for the legendary Indianapolis 500.
During this hands-on adventure, Daisies and Brownies will meet a variety of career professionals-engineers, mechanics, designers, and racing team members-who help bring different cars to life. Girls will explore different types of cars, discover how a race team works together, and learn how STEM plays a vital role everywhere!
And of course... it wouldn't be a pit-stop party without pizza! Girl Scouts will enjoy dinner together while asking questions, making memories, and fueling their curiosity.
Perfect for Girl Scouts who are brand-new to racing or just beginning to explore what it means to be a race fan, this program blends fun, friendship, and fast cars into one unforgettable experience.
This event is designed as an in-person event for Daisies and Brownies who will receive a fun patch for attending, but will work towards earning their STEM Career Exploration badge.
Notes:
* Since this is an in-person event, there is a strict event capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for maximum girl participation. All attending individuals, both girls and adults, must be registered in advance.
* For the safety and supervision of our participants, each troop is responsible for ensuring they have enough adults present to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints. Those attending individually also need to be accompanied by an adult.
* This event is for registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in joining a Girl Scout friend to try out the world of Girl Scouting and the opportunities offered through our program. We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs at this event.
