SAVE THE DATE! Registration opens December 5.

Join other Junior troops at Camp Gallahue for a weekend of friendly competition!  Bring your troop to compete, camp, and meet other Junior Girl Scouts. This weekend is a camping event where you can stay in one of our platform tent units, or bring your own gear and camp in the valley. You are responsible for your own meals, gear, and setting up your camp site. To reserve tents in a unit, select your unit preference below. The Girl Scouts stay in the platform tents (each tent sleeps 4 girls), and the adults stay in a separate tent or in the unit house. If you need to be with your girls in the same tent you should camp in the valley.

Summary: Friday is check in and troops can set up their troop displays. All competitions and contests will take place Saturday, and awards will take place on Sunday. Please plan to stay for the whole weekend! More details below!

Participating Junior Girl Scouts will receive a custom GSCI Junior Jam 2026 patch to proudly wear on their vest or sash.

If you know a CSA troop that would like to be judges, please have them register in the CSA event on the calendar.

Location: Camp Gallahue, Morgantown, IN

Be Prepared:

Troop Displays: At your unit you'll be encouraged (but not required), to create a troop display. This should be a play on the theme, Bakery Bonanza. A troop display should include a sign that includes your troop number and decorations around your tent(s). There will be an award for best troop display!

SWAPS! ("Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere" ): We will have time for SWAPS in the evening on Saturday. Each troop should create and bring enough SWAPS to trade with the other troops at Junior Jam. These could be Bakery Bonanza themed, but they do not have to be. They can reflect the personality and uniqueness of your troop!

What's a SWAP? They are small tokens of friendship that Girl Scouts exchange with one another, and each SWAP uniquely reflects a fellow Girl Scout, their troop, or a memory of a special event. They're a great way to share stories and get to know Girl Scouts from across the country and the world. For more info on SWAPS, check out the GSUSA webpage here!

Events: There will be a variety of events for troops to participate in. We will have some that are teamwork based, skill based, time based, etc. Not every member of each troop will be able to participate in each activity. When the games/competitions have been decided, I will send out another email so you can begin to decide who will participate in what event. Some examples of events include: archery skills competition, hula hoop competition, blindfold pick up (communication skills), three legged race (team coordination), fire building competition, etc.

Everyone should arrive on Friday during the check in window. All attending adults will need to show proof of a cleared background check upon arrival, so it's extremely important that everyone arrives during check in time. If you're already a Girl Scout registered volunteer, you can find your background check expiration date on your myGS account. If you need to submit for a background check, please call customer care.

All events will take place on Saturday! A schedule of events will be sent out approximately 2 weeks before Junior Jam weekend.

Sunday morning the awards ceremony will take place. After the awards ceremony, you may clean your units and gather your belongings to check out by 12 pm.

Notes:

  • Since this is an in-person event there is a strict event capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for maximum girl participation. All attending individuals both girls and adults must be registered in advance.
  • Each troop is responsible for providing enough adults to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints, girls registering individually should also be accompanied by an adult.
  • This event is for registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in trying out the world of Girl Scouting and the opportunities offered through our program. We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs at this event.
  • Junior Jam 2026 patch is included!
