Join us for a four-hour adventure into the world of engineering at the Caterpillar Lafayette Engine Center in Lafayette, Indiana! This exciting program is designed to inspire and empower the next generation of women in STEM. Girl Scouts will have the unique opportunity to meet and interact with a panel of female employees from Caterpillar, who will share their personal career journeys and offer insights into the diverse field of engineering and manufacturing. But the learning doesn't stop there! Participants will also engage in hands-on activities related to jobs at Caterpillar and will earn their STEM Career Exploration badge! (badge included and remember to bring your own sack lunch)

*We grateful that this summer program was made possible in part by a Purdue IN-MaC Micro-Grant*

Notes:

  • Since this is an in-person event, there is a strict capacity. To allow for maximum girl participation, we recommend keeping registration to the girl-to-adult ratios outlined in the Activity Safety CheckpointsAll attendees, both girls and adults, must register in advance.
  • Each troop is responsible for providing enough adults to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints, girls registering individually should also be accompanied by an adult.
  • This event is for registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in joining a Girl Scout friend to try out the world of Girl Scouting and the opportunities offered through our program. We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs at this event.
