What Girls Will Experience

🌼 Daisy Eco Learner Activities

Daisies will learn the basics of being environmentally responsible explorers. They will:

  • Discover ways to stay safe outdoors
  • Learn how to protect nature, including wildlife, plants, and outdoor spaces
  • Practice simple Leave No Trace skills
  • Take part in fun activities such as a nature color hunt, eco-safety scavenger challenge, and caring-for-nature craft

These activities help Daisies build early respect for nature and understand how their actions can help the environment.

 

🌿 Brownie Eco Friend Activities

Brownies will build on their outdoor knowledge and learn how to be friendly to nature every time they explore. They will:

  • Identify plants, animals, and natural features in their environment
  • Learn how to keep outdoor areas clean and why it matters
  • Practice ways to help nature thrive, including recycling, conservation awareness, and mindful outdoor habits
  • Participate in hands-on adventures like habitat observation, eco-problem-solving games, and "nature helper" challenges

By the end, Brownies will understand how to treat the natural world with care and kindness.

 

🌲 Junior Eco Camper Activities

Juniors will deepen their connection to the outdoors by exploring responsible camping and environmental stewardship. They will:

  • Learn how to prepare for an eco-friendly camping adventure
  • Practice low-impact outdoor skills, such as campsite selection, fire safety basics, and minimal-impact activity planning
  • Discover how to leave a campsite better than they found it
  • Engage in activities like outdoor skills practice, nature mapping, and designing their own "eco-smart" camp plan

These experiences empower Juniors to enjoy camp life while protecting natural spaces.

 

Program Outcomes

After completing the Eco Badge Program, Girl Scouts will:

  • Build environmental awareness and curiosity
  • Understand their role in protecting the natural world
  • Practice outdoor responsibility and safety
  • Strengthen observation, teamwork, and problemsolving skills
  • Connect with nature in fun, memorable ways
  • Earn their levelappropriate Eco Badge (provided at the event, if applicable)
