Cause Camp: Music for Change with El Sistema Indianapolis
Discover how music can inspire change and strengthen communities during this hands-on Cause Camp with El Sistema Indianapolis! Girls will learn how El Sistema uses music to empower children with the fewest resources and greatest need while exploring careers in music education, nonprofit work, and community engagement.
Participants will meet with Executive Director Dana Z. for a behind-the-scenes look at the organization's mission, followed by a Q&A session and time with El Sistema's teaching artists. Girls will observe music classes, assist with snack time, and interview students to help create a storytelling community service project. They'll then work together to edit and design materials that highlight the impact of the program and help share the stories of El Sistema families.
To continue making a difference, girls will have the opportunity to volunteer at future El Sistema concerts by assisting with event logistics and supporting the organization as they continue their mission of creating social change through music.
Girls- $25, includes snack, Girl Scouts Giving Back patch, and Let There Be Music fun patch.
