Juniors, Cadette, Seniors, & Ambassadors, come to Gallahue for
a morning on the lake. You will have the opportunity to try out all
the watercrafts available at camp, which include canoes, kayaks, stand
up paddle boards (weather permitting), corkles, paddle boats, and
water trikes! Participate in friendly competition or just take a
leisurely cruise. This is an outdoor program and will meet badge
requirements for the Senior Paddling badge (and it's included). A fun
patch is included! Adults are invited to participate as well.
This program will follow Safety Activity Checkpoints (SACs). For
more information about GSUSA SACs, reference the website here.
Location: Camp Gallahue, Morgantown
Notes:
- Since this is an in-person event there is a strict event
capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult
ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for
maximum girl participation. All attending individuals both
girls and adults must be registered in advance.
- Each troop is responsible for providing enough adults to meet
Activity Safety Checkpoints, girls registering individually should
also be accompanied by an adult.
- This event is for
registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in trying out the world
of Girl Scouting and the opportunities offered through our program.
We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs at this
event.
- Senior Girl Scouts will complete the
requirements for the Paddling badge (and is provided to
Seniors).
- A fun patch is provided!
