Get ready for a bubbling, fizzing, balloon-blasting good time! Daisy scientists will step into the shoes of chemists as they mix baking soda and vinegar to trigger an exciting chemical reaction that magically inflates a balloon-without anyone blowing into it!
Girl Scouts will discover how gases are created, make predictions, test their own big ideas, and watch science come to life right before their eyes. Expect plenty of "WOW!" moments as balloons grow bigger and bigger from the power of chemistry.
Then it's time to get creative! Girl Scouts will design and build their very own colorful Hot Air Balloon Craft to take home. Using their imagination and creativity, they'll create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece while making connections between the science they explored and the craft they created.
We are excited to partner with The STEAM Craft Lab for this workshop, where learning is anything but ordinary! Every session is packed with hands-on experiments, creative problem-solving, imagination, and laughter. Best of all, every child leaves with new knowledge, increased confidence, and a unique creation they made all by themselves.

Notes:
- Since this is an in-person event, there is a strict event capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for maximum girl participation. All attending individuals, both girls and adults, must be registered in advance.
- For the safety and supervision of our participants, each troop is responsible for ensuring that enough adults are present to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints. Those attending individually also need to be accompanied by an adult.
- This event is open to registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in joining to discover what Girl Scouting has to offer.
- We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs (non-Girl Scout siblings and non-participating guests) at this event.
