Ever wonder how massive airplanes stay up, or how a tiny breeze moves a giant sailboat? Join us for Amazing Air, an action-packed adventure where we put the invisible, incredible power of the atmosphere to the test! Get ready to experiment, build, and launch your way through the science of flight.

 

What We'll Do:

  • Air Pressure Secrets: Discover how an invisible force can lift heavy objects right off the ground.
  • Balloon Rocket Races: Mix engineering with pure speed! Build balloon-powered rockets to see how thrust and resistance affect your distance.
  • High-Flying Air Rockets: Design, build, and launch your very own air rocket into the sky to see whose design soars the highest!

If you love to build things and want to understand the how behind the wow, this hands-on session is for you. Think like a scientist, test your designs, crush the competition, and take home an awesome, fun patch!

 

Notes: 

  • Since this is an in-person event, there is a strict event capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for maximum girl participation. All attending individuals, both girls and adults, must be registered in advance. 
  • For the safety and supervision of our participants, each troop is responsible for ensuring that enough adults are present to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints. Those attending individually also need to be accompanied by an adult.
  • This event is open to registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in joining to discover what Girl Scouting has to offer.
  • We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs (non-Girl Scout siblings and non-participating guests) at this event.
