Camp Sycamore Valley

Jory

Hi! My name is Jory Sejdiu, and I am the Camp Director for Camp Sycamore Valley. I am so excited to have Girl Scout troops and families join me this summer for a summer everyone will remember forever! My love for the outdoors began with attending a summer horse camp ever year as a young girl. That quickly turned into a passion for outdoor recreation of all kinds, especially hiking and birding! Being outside in the sun is my happy place, and now, this summer, I get to share my happy place and love for outdoor activities, exploration, and nature with all that come to spend time at Camp Sycamore Valley.

Camp Sycamore Valley is fun for all ages. Camp is not far from Lafayette but feels a world away when you see dip your toes into Wildcat Creek or hike beautiful trails that wind through the 160 acres of property. Troops and families will also make memories of a lifetime participating in activities like hatchet throwing, mini golf, zip lining, & swimming. You can certainly Lead Your Own Adventure this summer at Camp Sycamore Valley! Check out the Lead Your Own Adventure dropdown to find out more! Watch here to see a short video of Camp Sycamore Valley.

This summer might not look exactly like it has in year’s past, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it memorable and fun for everyone! We have implemented many best practices within our camp to have a safe and fun summer! Feel free to check out the COVID-19 dropdown for more information. I look forward to having your troop or family join me at Camp Sycamore Valley this summer!

Camp is structured differently this year! Because of that, we will not have camp aide or assistant unit leader opportunities for older girls. Instead, we will have shadow opportunities. Older girls (CSA’s) can register for a Saturday of LYOA to shadow one of the camp staff. They will learn the ins-and-outs of the LYOA experience and gain leadership experience while they’re at it!
