A background check is required for all adults spending the night on any GSCI camp property.

In order to provide the safest possible experience for girls, a background check is required for all persons over the age of 18 who are attending with your Girl Scout. All background checks must be within 3 years.

Below you will find detailed instructions on this process.

If you think you have a background check on file? Follow these steps to check online.

  • Navigate to our website – girlscoutsindiana.org
  • Click “Sign In” to bring up login screen
  • Click “My Account”
  • Click on the “My Household” tab
  • There will be a list of all participations with Girl Scouts, and if there is a background check on file, it will list the “CBC Expiration” date

If you do not have a background on file with Girl Scouts Central Indiana, please start by filling out this short form: Background Check

Once you submit the short form, you will receive an email from Asurint. This will be the actual Background check we need. Please fill this out at least two weeks prior to your trip to ensure we have it back in time.

For new Girl Scout volunteers or parents who are wanting to check the status of their Background Check … please use the same steps as described above.  If you have not yet set up a password for your account, it will prompt you to do so.

Troop Leaders: Please share this link with any persons in your group who will be in attendance.  It is important this process is completed 2 weeks prior to your camping event.

Troops and Service Units are responsible for verifying background checks have been completed for their guests. This is a requirement for all adults having an overnight at any event with registered girls.

Contact Sabrina Greene if you need assistance.

In addition, all volunteers must take Camp Prep online training before reserving a campsite.
