Imagine your STEM Future - STEM Career Exploration @ Math & Science Center

Sat Dec 10, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM EST
Juniors, Cadettes, Volunteers

Imagine having a career that lets you be creative, active, and well-paid—and change the world for the better. Did you know that Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) skills can help you get there? While women make up almost half of our country’s workforce, hold only 25 percent of the math and computer science jobs and about 11 percent of engineering jobs. Join us for an afternoon of career exploration as you will have the opportunity to meet some real-life STEM professionals to learn more about what exactly they do. We will even mix in a few hands-on activities to allow you to experience just how creative you can be in the world of STEM.

This event is designed as an in-person event for Juniors and Cadettes. Girls will receive a special event patch; however, the activities in this workshop are designed to complete the requirements for the Junior and Cadette STEM Career Exploration badge. If you'd like to be able to take home your STEM Career Exploration badge that day, be sure to order it for $3.50 during registration.

  • Since this is an in-person event there is a strict event capacity. We recommend keeping your registration to girl/adult ratios outlined in the Activity Safety Checkpoints to allow for maximum girl participation. All attending individuals both girls and adults must be registered in advance.
  • Each troop is responsible for providing enough adults to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints, girls registering individually should also be accompanied by an adult.
  • This event is for registered Girl Scouts and girls interested in joining a Girl Scout friend to try out the world of Girl Scouting and the opportunities offered through our program. We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate tagalongs at this event.

Location: Math & Science Center @ Camp Dellwood
