Home Made Obstacle Course

Your challenge this week is build and complete an obstacle course in your very own backyard! Obstacle courses are not only fun and challenging, but they promote muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, encourage self-esteem and confidence, increase stability, and many other wonderful things! With a little imagination and creativity, you can build an obstacle out of everyday things in your yard and challenge your siblings and parents to see who has the fastest times!

• Reusable water bottle, stay hydrated!!
• Tennis shoes & socks
• Athletic wear
• Optional for Obstacle Course:
o Hoola hoops
o Pool noodles
o Trashbags
o Cones
o Balls (volley, basket, etc)
o Ladder

Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors: Your challenge this week is to come up with at least a 5-step obstacle course that includes some running, some jumping, some strength (carrying something heavy), and two fun other steps. If you think of more, add them in! Discuss with your parent, guardian, or troop leader how to begin planning. Take a look around your yard to see what you could use. If you don’t have anything to use, that’s okay. Get creative! Here are some videos for ideas:

Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors: Your challenge this week is to create an obstacle course with at least 10 different steps! Ten steps may seem like a lot, but the more steps you have, the more endurance and strength you build! Try to get a few steps that include running, jumping, strength, and as a bonus, add a funny step in that includes taking a selfie with a neighbor (a six foot distant selfie) or a video of you dancing in the nearby playground or something. Get creative! Here are some videos for ideas:
