Daily Girl Scout Virtual Challenge - Writing
Writing and journaling are a great way to start to understand your feelings. People write for many different reasons, and according to the British Library, people have been writing for nearly 5,500 years! Watch the video as Jory explains the challenge.
For this challenge there are two parts.
Part one, for all age groups: Write down 3 feelings you have during the day and what caused this. According to Mental Health America, doing this helps you find patterns, not hold on to negativity, and express your emotions in a healthy way!
Part two will depend on your age group.
Daisies, Brownies, Juniors: Write a short, fictional story! Fiction just means pretend or made-up. Think of a main character. You can draw your main character if you would like, then write a short story about her/him/them. Remember to include a beginning (introduction), middle, and end (conclusion). Once you’re done, share it with your family and friends. If you’d like to add pictures with your story, then go for it!
Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors: You have a choice! Either write a short, fictional story (at least 7500 words) OR start a blog and keep that blog going for a week. The blog can be about lifestyle, advice, animals, foods, crafts, sports – anything you’re interested in!
We'd love to see what you've created. Use this following link to submit your work.
