Cookies for a Cause

Cookies for a Cause, formerly known as Operation: Cookie Drop, is our council’s philanthropic program that runs alongside the Girl Scout Cookie Program. Customers will be able to buy packages of cookies and have them be delivered to military members, healthcare providers, first responders, and food pantries.

Put a smile on someone’s face by participating in Cookies for a Cause. Participation is easy! While girls are running their cookie business, they can simply ask customers if they’d like to donate money that will be used to purchase a package of cookies for our Cookies for a Cause campaign.

In 2022, approximately 68,000 packages of cookies were donated through this program and delivered to Stout Field, more than 60 National Guard Armories, as well as the Army, Marines, and Air Force. Girl Scouts of Central Indiana also sent cookies to the HVAF, local police and fire departments, and more!

All Cookies for a Cause packages must be entered in eBudde to ensure that cookies are ordered to deliver to military, first responders, healthcare providers, and food pantries.

Some of our top selling Girl Scouts will be asked to join us in presenting our cookies at military events across our council jurisdiction. If your Girl Scout is interested in participating, see the guidelines below and be sure to fill out an interest form!

When choosing girls to participate we look for girls that:
- Are top sellers for Cookies for a Cause and/or have earned the gift of caring patch.
- Are comfortable talking to strangers and sometimes reporters about their Girl Scout Cookie program experiences and techniques.
- Have a Girl Scout uniform.
- Have parents or leaders that can transport them to the event on time and stay at the site through the event (please note that some events are during the weekdays).

If this sounds like your Girl Scout or your troop, register your information to be considered for an event. Submitting this information does not guarantee you will be selected for an event, but it will serve as our starting contact list.
