S.O.S- stressed out sisters
(Girl Scout Daisies, Girl Scout Seniors, Girl Scout Ambassadors)
Whether you are a Girl Scout Daisy, Senior or Ambassador, we all tend to get a little stressed out at times. Come learn how to deal with stress by improving your breathing habits, increasing your balance and increasing your mental concentration. Not to mention, learning to reduce stress by deep relaxation and increasing your feeling of well being. Don't forget to dress comfortably because you will be doing some yoga techniques. Price includes the cost of the one hour class and some additional bonus activities and prizes.

Yoga and Wellness for Girls
(All Girl Scout Ages)
This educational, interactive and fun workshop is a great way for girls to learn all about the amazing health benefits of yoga. This workshop includes a yoga class, where we will learn yoga postures, breathing techniques, and deep relaxation. Next, we will discuss all the health benefits of yoga, how yoga can help girls with their school work, sports and peer pressure, as well as answer all your questions. We will conclude our session with a home yoga practice girls are encouraged to try at home. All handouts are provided. Please wear comfortable clothing (no jeans or skirts) and bring a yoga sticky mat or large towel to practice on. Also available for aerobics/fitness classes and lunchbox makeovers, a nutrition workshop for girls.

Skin Care Basics

Learn about what good skin care is and what is and what is not at this informative and interactive skin care class. We discuss how to take care of your skin and hair and each girl does their own facial! There are games with prizes and each girl will go home with their own product samples. Cheer and Dance
(All Girl Scout Ages)
Girls will learn basic cheerleading motions, kicks, jumps, chants, cheers and a dance. This is a fun way to exercise and gain coordination. If your troop prefers, we can emphasize dance instruction. Travel fees may apply. Program includes pompoms for each girl. Girls should wear tennis shoes and shorts or warm-up pants.

Ice Skating or Winter Sports Badge Workshop
(All Girl Scout Age Levels)
Elite Skating, LLC offers Girl Scout Clinics, Insignia Workshops and other skating activities designed specifically for each age group. All sessions will include professional instruction on off-ice and on-ice safety and learn to skate basic skills. All content required for the insignia will be covered during each session. Upon request, we will also cover other skating disciplines including, but not limited to figure skating, hockey and speed skating. All costs will include skate rental, instructional fees and a participation/fun ice skating patch.

Firefighters Survive Alive! Program

Survive Alive is an interactive village designed to teach fire and life safety education. With the ease of a state-of-the-art simulated "fire" and life sized village children learn life saving techniques that can help them to escape the perils of an uncontrolled fire. Each program consists of two parts, a theatre style classroom presentation learning what a firefighter looks and sounds like, about smoke detectors, and other fire safety techniques like stop, drop, cover and roll and lessons in our village. Dairy Farm Tours

Spring, summer and fall programs.
Experience a working dairy farm! Kelsay Farms is a 6th generation family farm specialization in producing quality milk. We milk 500 cows, 3 times a day, 365 days a year!
Join us for spring tours in April (1.5 hours), cow camps in the summer (3 hours) or experience the farm in the fall! The fall tours are complete with a five acre corn maze, games, pumpkins, farm tours and dairy snacks.
All tours are age-appropriate, educational and aligned with programming.
All Girl Scouts receive a free Kelsay Farms patch and a coloring book!

The goal of the Horsemanship for Brownies program is to introduce the girls to the world of horses. The program develops confidence, and natural affection of the girls for horse.
All programs begin with a safety demonstration. The second portion of the program is a basic riding skills activity. The highlight of the program is a one hour trail ride. We will also cover how to care for and feed horses.

Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center offers hands on workshops facilitated by certified riding instructors. Girls can fill the requirements for the Horses Try-It ($20.00), Horse Fan ($15.00) and Horse Rider ($20.00) insignia. We can also create a custom workshop for Horse Sense ($20.00) including the service project. We offer year round programming. *Please note that the Horse Fan workshop is an un mounted program.

Horse Insignia Workshop
(All Girl Scout Ages)
Workshop program is tailored to the age of the Girl Scout and covers all items needed to receive their age-specific horse-related insignia (i.e. Horse Try-It, Horse Fan/Rider, etc.).
We will discuss horse safety, horse breeds and colors, tack, care and grooming and riding. Girls will have the option of riding in our arena or on one of our outdoor trails, weather permitting.
There is no limit to registration but please note that your group may be split for safety purposes.
Cost: $20.00 per girl (There is a $10.00 fee for any adult who chooses to ride with their girls. |

Yoga for Girls of All Ages

Yoga is not only fun for girls of all ages but is also a great way for girls to increase their body awareness and self-esteem. The girls will also learn ways to manage their stress, how to focus and build their flexibility and strength. The classes are designed to be a fun and creative experience for each age level. We can travel to your meeting site for a small fee or you can come to our yoga studio at Sacred Space Yoga Healing Center.

Participate in a rock climbing workshop. At this workshop you will learn about the basic equipment needed for rock climbing safely. How to care for your equipment, what you should wear when climbing, the safety rules, and how to climb safely in an indoor rock climbing gym.

Horse Workshops

If you love horses, this is your opportunity to learn more about them! Join the staff and volunteers at Therapeion while you learn about horses in a very hands on manner. Depending upon your age level and insignia requirements your will learn about different breeds, horse safety, horse care and nutrition, medical care, grooming tools, different types of saddles and tack, different riding styles, getting ready for a horse show, horse related careers and how horses are used in therapy. Your activities can be tailored to meet the interests of your troop! Completion of a workshop fulfills all requirements and includes the badge or try-it. The older girl IPA includes a service project which hail be completed at Shepard Stable.
