Start your engines

Ladies and gentlemen, start you engines, because October’s almost here! That’s right; it’s almost time for the 2008 Girl Scout National Council Session/ 51st Convention, which will be held just miles from the fabled Brickyard in Indianapolis. Girl Scouts from across the world will come together October 30-November 2 to chart the future course for our movement. And as always, Girl Scouts who reside in the host state may participate in numerous ways. So, keep checking this Web site for important information as we race closer to the checkered flag.

Volunteer today

All volunteers receive a free day pass to the convention for each four-hour shift they work. You can be a volunteer to help with registration, hospitality, as a microphone teller, as an usher or with the program. Specific volunteer needs and positions have not yet been developed (and will be posted when they are available). It’s easy to sign up to be a convention volunteer. Just complete this online volunteer application or print and mail the hardcopy. Sign up today!
